Exercise - 5 Signs That Show You're Getting Enough

While owning a top-notch treadmill is a good step toward developing greater fitness, there are distinct signs that indicate that you are fitting enough exercise into your life. If you aren’t sure if your exercise efforts are enough, here are five signs to show that you are on the right track.

1. Easily Fall Asleep And Stay Asleep

A sign that not everyone considers is that those who are packing in enough exercise also experience improved sleep. If you find you can stick to a good sleep schedule, you can take it as a sign that your current workout routine is right for you.

2. Enjoy Higher Energy Levels

While starting a new exercise routine can be exhausting, sticking to a regular workout schedule helps your body to accommodate new demands. This accommodation means you will also start to enjoy increased feelings of energy and lessened feelings of fatigue. So, instead of waking up tired or feeling sharp energy drops, you can skip that and stay energized throughout your day.

3. Avoidance Of Common Sicknesses

Exercise helps to improve your immune function. Also, exercise has been shown to reduce stress, which is key, as stress makes people more prone to becoming sick.

So, if you manage to skip picking up the common colds and flu as they make the rounds through workplaces and schools, then you are likely putting in the right amount of exercise.

4. Positive Moods

One of the common side effects of those who are regular exercisers is an improved mood. The improvement of a positive mood can affect your life in so many other ways. For one thing, exercise releases endorphins – which act as a natural pain reliever.

Positive moods can also be attributed to the fact that the exerciser also is a better sleeper, who experiences more energy, and avoids sickness compared to those who do not work out.

5. Ability To Maintain A Healthy Weight

While exercise isn’t the only component in losing weight, finding time for regular exercise can help you reach and maintain a healthy weight. As exercise increases your calorie burn and overall metabolism, those who put enough time into exercising will be able to maintain a steady weight more easily, even if there are some occasional indulgences.

If you find that you are missing one or more of these signs of exercise, try reevaluating your exercise routine and establish a new strategy. Once you create an improved strategy, you’ll be well on your way to improved sleep, higher energy levels, enhanced immune function, better mood, and maintaining a healthy weight.
